Imvescor has been in the restaurant business for over 40 years. It began with Pizza Delight, a small pizza take-out in Shediac, New Brunswick. Pizza Delight opened in 1968 and was purchased a year later by entrepreneur Bernard Imbeault. He expanded Pizza Delight and developed it as a franchise restaurant concept. Franchise businesses were relatively new in the late 60s and Bernard Imbeault is looked upon as an innovator of this business model.

With Pizza Delight as a foundation, Bernard and his team looked to develop a portfolio of restaurants brands that would complement each other. The year 2000 saw the acquisition of Mikes, then Scores in 2005, and Bâton Rouge in 2006.

Our founder, Bernard Imbeault acquired Pizza Delight in 1969, one year after its inception. Mr. Imbeault holds a BA in Economic Science, a Masters in Commercial Science (Management) and a Masters in Business Administration (Finance). He has also completed postgraduate studies at the École nationale d’administration (ENA) in France. In 2003, Mr. Imbeault received an honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from the Université de Moncton in New Brunswick and in 2004, an honorary Doctorate in Law from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick. Mr. Imbeault holds positions on the boards of directors of a number of private companies and organizations. In 2003, Mr. Imbeault was awarded the Ernst & Young Atlantic Entrepreneur of the Year as well as the Top 50 CEO Award from the Atlantic Business Magazine. He also received the Paul Harris Award from the Rotary Club of Greater Moncton for his service to the community. In 2005, he was the Laureate recipient of the Junior Achievement New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame and in 2006, Mr. Imbeault was Atlantic Business Magazine’s CEO of the Year.
